Logista Announces New Data Center Initiative

Birmingham, AL - Logista is pleased to announce a new data center initiative for 2012.

Logista announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Retirement Systems of Alabama to market and provide management support for their new state of the art data center currently under construction. The new data center, located at 445 Dexter Avenue in downtown Montgomery, AL, is the first commercial data center that RSA has implemented in the United States. With over 35,000 sq. ft. of space, the new data center is expected to be completed in May, 2012. It is anticipated that this facility will help meet the increasing demand for co-location services throughout the Southeast, and the US. In addition to providing a menu of co-location services from this facility, Logista will also introduce a complete suite of cloud computing services later this year. This announcement complements Logista's increasing focus on network support capabilities and recent wins for technology infrastructure projects across the Southeast.

"We see growing demand from our customer base to house their critical IT equipment in a Tier 1 facility such as this. Having such a sophisticated facility in our own back yard is the perfect enabler for organizations looking to co-locate equipment in a facility that is within driving distance of their business. In addition, we fully intend to embrace the Cloud Computing era and this new data center sets the foundation for our continued growth in that market" said Mr. Vic Murphy, Vice President of Sales for Logista.
